The Online Camera Database:
A collection of information on cameras, both past and present.

     Welcome to the Online Camera Database, the next great project for Williams Photographic. Unlike other camera registries, which list people's equipment or stolen cameras, the OCD is a free resource for people to research information on different cameras and systems. In each section, information on specific cameras and systems is provided, including features, compatability issues, and (when possible) known bugs. At the moment, the OCD is still in its infancy and a bit limited. However, as I work to build the pages and gather information on cameras, the OCD will expand and, with luck, become a leading resource for people seeking information on photographic equipment.
     What can you do to help the OCD? Submit camera information! If you don't see your camera listed on the site, please tell me about it and I'll add the information to the site ASAP. Information on all types of cameras is desparately needed, including 35mm, medium format, large format, and especially vintage equipment.
     The large format section, for example, currently lists all available lenses from Nikon, Schneider, and Rodenstock and their coverage. The medium format section currently includes a Yashica TLR FAQ, information on Rollei TLR cameras, an interesting look at Hasselblad, and the Bronica ETR system, and the 35mm sections provide a look at various camera systems (including Canon and Nikon).
